Dear Friend,
Almost half of New York City’s single parent families live in poverty. For these families, the fall can be a particularly challenging time as they struggle to find shelter, pay for food and clothe their children.
Serving over 2,000 individuals annually, The Single Parent Resource Center, Inc. is the only comprehensive nonprofit agency devoted solely to providing programs for New York City’s single parents and their families. During the fall months, we are particularly committed to helping our families cope with the many challenges that they face, including homelessness, poverty, and the struggle to reunite with their children after incarceration or separation due to substance abuse.
We need your support now more than ever. Please send whatever amount you can, so that we will be able to offer support and joy to our families during this time of year, and throughout the year. We thank you for your continued generosity.
With genuine gratitude,
Amber-Noelle Anthony, Beth Batiuchok-Colon, Blythe Brock, Claudia Crowley, Elizabeth Cummins, Ukeme Emem, Alan Fuchsberg, Trudy Gagne, Deane Allen Gilliam, Olivia Leon, Jim McDonald, Jeri Powell, Russ Schulman; SPRC Board of Directors
